Writing non fiction books and other kindergarten news

After the holiday break kindergarten students began exploring non-fiction text and some of the features that authors use to help teach their audience about a topic. Each student then picked an see animal to research before beginning to write their own non fiction book about the animal. You can some pictures below of students writing independently and with their sixth grade buddies.
