Setting the stage for learning!

SME kindergarten students have been busy thinking and sharing hopes and dreams for the year. We have students hoping and dreaming to count, read, make friends, be scientists and more. The class has created rules to support them in their goals and have been learning about their classroom, school, and friends. We have slowly but surely been dipping our toes into some academics, too! How exciting! Please enjoy several pictures of the students participating in math centers, partner reading, making "Mat Man" out of big and little lines and curves (pre handwriting), and taking a picture to thank Bee's Aunt Polly for our Llama, Llama, Red Pajama books.

Welcome to SME kindergarten 2018-2019!

Our kindergarten year has been off to a fun and busy start! Kindergarten students have been exploring math materials, meeting specials teachers (mrs.O'Hearn is pictured below)playing in choice time, reading about bears, and learning rules about taking care of others, being safe, and following directions quickly. This blog is the perfect place to stop by and take a peek into what we have been up to recently.
