Mat Man, Puppy, and centers !

We've been having lots of fun learning in kindergarten this week. Students have been practicing how to be in math and reading centers and how to switch to new centers. We have started our handwriting curriculum, Handwriting Without Tears. Mat Man is a part of that curriculum. He is a character made of big and little curves, lines, and dots - just like our letter and numbers! We sang songs, read books, and even built mat man together! Mrs.O'Hearn came to visit for her first session of guidance. The kindergarteners met a puppet that she brought named puppy and helped him learn how to do his best listening and learning.
